While initially hailed as a revolutionary solution to pest control, Black Leaf 40 proved to be extremely hazardous to human health and the environment.Exposure to its toxic components, particularly lead and arsenic, led to numerous cases of poisoning among agricultural workers and residents in areas where it was applied.
